Your well water may be contaminated with fluoride and other contaminates

Fluoride and Well Water - you may still be getting fluoride
You may be surprised to find out that even if you are on a well or a public water supply that does not add fluoride, you may still be exposed to it; and possibly at dangerous levels. Well water can contain fluoride from industrial run-off of fertilizer, pesticides and aluminum factories.  This paragraph is directly from the CDC:

"Fluoride is present in virtually all waters at some level, and it is important to know the fluoride content of your water, particularly if you have children. A 2008 U.S. Geological Survey study found that 4% of sampled wells had natural fluoride levels above the EPA Secondary Maximum Contaminant Level (SMCL) of 2 mg/L. A smaller set of 1.2% of all wells exceeded the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 4 mg/L. If you have a home well, the EPA recommends having a sample of your water analyzed by a laboratory at least once every three years. Check with your dentist, physician, or public health department to learn how to have your home well water tested."  This map shows where at least one chemical contaminant was found:

Other contaminates found in the well water included Radon (increased risk of lung cancer), Strontium (abnormal bone development), Arsenic (skin damage or problems w/circulatory system, increased risk of cancer), Manganese (neurological effects), Nitrate (danger to infants: shortness of breath, blue-baby syndrome, death), Uranium (increased risk of cancer, kidney toxicity), Boron (gastrointestinal, reproductive and developmental effects), and Fluoride.

If you live in a city where the water is supplied from a private well or local river, lake, etc. and they don't add fluoride, that still doesn't mean you are not exposed to high amounts. For example, the City of Golden, Colorado does not fluoridate their water from Clear Creek.  For the past three years, their max fluoride levels have ranged from .82 ppm - .88 ppm.

No matter where you live, be sure to get a drinking water quality report for the health of your family, kids and pets.  The best thing you can do is block 99.9% contaminates with a Reverse Osmosis System. It's a small investment for a lifetime of pure, clean, healthy drinking water.
