Cancer Causing Chromium found in tap water

Carcinogenic hexavalent chromium (the chemical from the Erin Brockovich cases) was found in the tap water of 31 cities out of a total of 35 tested. This chemical is a known carcinogen, increasing the risk of lung cancer, kidneys, intestines and more.

The highest levels were found in Norman, Oklahoma; Riverside, California; and Honolulu, Hawaii. Pittsburgh, PA & Madison, WI were also very high. This just goes to show that it doesn't matter where you live or whether or not you drink public water or well water - you can't trust either one to be safe. You'd be crazy not to have a water filter these days!
